Text Vibe while in silent mode

Can someone tell me how to get the phone to vibe while in silent mode. Right now if I go silent it will not vibe on incoming text messages.

What I do is just turn the volume all the way down to where it shuts the sound clear off and then push up once to make it go vibrate. you will see the little half cocked phone with the vibe marks in the bar at the top of the phone if it worked.

Download the app "Volume Toggle". It lets you customize all ringer and vibrate features for calls, texts, notifications, alarms, etc.

Click messaging > click the button above the house(the upside down U with 2 horizontal bars in it), then go to settings and scroll to the bottom, there should be a setting to turn on vibrate for messages. its odd the phone vibrate and this are not linked.
