Any of you new note 8 owners having this issue. In the pictures you will see the exact same thing. Notice the time. I'm getting text messages here and there by 2s?? Duplicate texts? What's up with that? This has happened from a couple different senders so I know this isn't just one person sending the dance text twice. Any ideas?

What's your carrier?
What's their carrier? Did you test with different carriers?
Are you using standard Sammy texting app or 3rd party?
When you sneed THEM texts, arfe they getting duplicates?
If you are using a 3rd party text app, did you try the built in app?
Did you retry another 3rd party app?
Maybe a stretch to say its a "note8" issue because I don't have that, so it could be a temporary carrier issue or something local to your device.

Have them send a MMS message and see if that comes as a duplicate.

Always got 3rd party messaging but this time trying not to. The ads kill me. I did a cache partition wipe and it seems to be ok now. No dups. It's probably the 45k text I transferred lol.. Let that out before. I will report back.
Yea sounds like something tangled up in the transfer.
Textra has no ads if you purchase and google messenger has no ads either. I use google messenger until i found textra (when i got this phone).

Have you contacted sprint? What’s their stance?
No. I'm sure as with everything they will say reset. Already did that. Nobody put here has had this issue with this? Same thing happened on my note 4.

I cant speak for anyone else but i dont have this issue at all. Never seen it.
I can understand its frustrating and i dont mean to sound insensitive.
At least you should take time to get to second or 3rd level tech support. We all know that first rung reps are clueless and read form a computer prompter. Have them escalate your issue. There could be something amiss treats beyond your grasp to fix, so take a bit of time and reach out to higher tech support.

I haven't had that issue on my Note 8 (verizon) but I did with my note 5 on Sprint.
Great advice. I'll try and let you know. Hopefully I don't get Beavis or butthead.. Again!
