If you just have a WiFi model table you will need to use some software to send/receive text to/from friend's phones. I use, and recommend, Google Voice. It works great on WiFi and will stay synced with message on PC, phone and table. If you don't have Voice activated on you Google account just go to voice.google.com and follow the directions.
