Help Textra is Default Message App- Use with Edge People?

Hiya,

I am new to Samsung and love my new Galaxy S6 Edge+. Part of it's appeal is the cool People Edge notifications however once I changed from the default Messages app to Textra, I notice that when I get a text from one of my People Edge, it doesn't give me their colored notification. If I open the People Edge though and opt to text someone, it opens right to Textra. My question is, why can't I add Textra as the default message apps for the People Edge notification? When I go into Edge settings< Select notifications, it's only an On/Off for Missed call, messages, and email.

Hi Rich,

I just got this phone today. I was reading about this and it looks like the Edge Notifications only work with Samsung's default phone, messaging and email apps. It will not work if you change the default app to another app for messaging for example.
