Help Textra short pop ups

I have textra and the pop up notifications last a split second, which gives me no time to read and respond. I drive during the day and I need a few seconds to read each

Textra has settings for that, open the app and navigate to settings, notifications

I've gone to settings and their is nothing relating to the time a floating popup or head can be changed or adjusted.
