Help Textra SMS receives low quality MMS

Hello,

I have a weird problem with Textra SMS app.
Whenever I'm getting a picture via MMS, the app cuts down in quality (I have no problem sending).
This only happens when I'm using Textra as the default client. When I'm using ChompSMS, EvolveSMS or the default stock app, I get the picture in it's original good quality.
I'm using Galaxy S5 duo (G900FD), was using 4.4.2 and still have this problem after upgrading to 5.0. I even moved to a differend carrier (unrelated to the problem).
I tried factory reset and the problem's still there.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Textra could be demoting the resolution to a lower one to save data fees. If they are, there should be a setting somewhere in data.
I've seen words to the effect of lower image quality to save data. I have an MMS size limit on the phone which I can set.

Some users have very small data plans, and this helps them. Others have buckets of data and don't need it, so there should be a choice.

I do have an MMS size settings but it's says "Send Size Limit". I tried several times to change it to 1MB or 2MB and I can send just fine, the problem is always in the receiving end.

When I'm using ChompSMS (which is by the same developer), the picutres are fine.
I tried to contact Textra's support but they keep saying they're referring it to the dev team and I get no response.
Because I went through 2 different carriers, and 2 different Android version (both with factroy reset), I'm at a loss.
