Texts received but not sending

[Android Question]

I have a Galaxy S4 from Verizon. My phone was letting me send text messages but now it just says message failed. I shut my phone off, restarted it, took the battery out, and cleared the ram but still nothing. Anything I can do without going back to factory settings

try turning the phone off, take out the sim card, turn the phone back on, turn off again, put back in SIM card, turn back on.... also make sure your "mobile data" is turned on.
