Just figured I'd tell everyone how much I love this program. Tonight, again, Time Warner Cable screwed me over with their network going down. For many hours I had no internet, and it couldn't have come at a worse time.

This time, I figured I'd use PDA NET with my iMac, and I couldn't be happier with it's performance. To be honest, if we didn't have more than one computer/device that used the internet, I'd simply use this. My internet was surprisingly fast. In fact, I barely noticed a difference, and was able to do internet, video watching, and even online gaming to my surprise, and with less issues than I get with my Time Warner Cable's Roadrunner connection!

I'd really recommend this to anyone. I can imagine it's going to also come in handy on our upcoming vacation since we can plug this in to my wife's netbook and get instant internet.

And this is why I'm so happy I don't have my iPhone anymore. The EVO 4G has been amazing in every way, and it's reasons like this that make me proud to say I own it. Plus, unlimited internet is a grand thing .

If you haven't downloaded it. Please do! It's free and it's perfect for times like this! I know it sounds silly, but I was actually bummed when I found out our internet was working and I didn't have to use this any longer. 2 thumbs up!

PDAnet is killer and I too was surprised at how fast web pages loaded on my laptop. In all honesty I am not sure that it was just as fast as my crappy Brighthouse service.

I've gotta "third" the opinion. I just spent 10 days in a hotel that was charging $9.95/day for internet access. PDANet came through with flying colors. In one day I saved the cost of the program by not going with the hotel's internet plan. The rest was gravy.

I personally use Easytether, but I still like the idea of this app. Competition keeps both PDANet and Easytether on their toes. Either way, I have liked the idea so much, I cancelled my home internet completely and tether exclusively.

My cable/inet/home phone provider bundles, and I was paying $110 for inet/cable (no home phone as I don't use it)

I called to cancel inet, and that reduced my bill to $90. But they have some wierd deal that if I get a home phone/cable, it's $75/month (and that's not one of those intro deals, that's all the time)

So I got a home phone for no other reason than to reduce my cable bill.

Data plan (that I HAVE to have on the droid in the first place) = $25
Inet/cable = $110

grand total - $135 vs the $75 I currently spend and I have more stuff technically.

Saving almost $100 a month... that crap adds up for everyone who's on a budget


not to mention the fact that I can also reduce my anytime minutes on the droid and save $20 there.

I swear, the droid is very economical for me, saving about $140 /month based on free aps I can get.



I actually did just buy the Easytether paid app (my first app purchase) in order to get access to https sites (secure sites that you log in with)
