I seriously doubt that, first off, gingerbread is coming out in the fall and that would be Android 2.x or 3.x right now 2.2 is a reality, and so is the 1.5ghz snapdragon maybe HTC is pushing to be the first to use the new processor.... We first heard of the scorpion in February so it is looking good .....

I never knew how bad the shelf life is for smartphones. I haven't received my Incredible yet, and already there is something coming out to 1-up it. I'm thinking the Incredible holds its own for at least a couple years though. .. hopefully.

I am going for nexus one...

While more power on phones is nice..

Honestly.. 1 ghz shouldn't go out of date any time soon..

and its always dangerous to be a first adopter.

in response to it not happening soon... just yesterday, on this forum, was a posting about qualcom having just shipped out a batch of new snapdragon processors that are DUAL CORE... c'mon.... connect the dots.

a couple of years? not at the rate we've been seeing Android develop recently mate. If it is in a couple of years it'll probably be way out of date and not that smart a smart phone.

As the blog said, the leak in February said it would have WiMax radios in it. The only carrier in the US and probably the world using WiMax is Sprint, so I'd assume this is coming to them. Besides Verizon already has three high end Android phones confirmed to be coming to their network this year, could they really justify trying to market a fourth?
