The Browser Thread

Hey Everyone!

Anyway, Internet is one of the most important things on this phone. So you want to be able to browse the internet with ease, comfort, reliability, and SPEED.

Now lets face it, the stock android browser, just isn't snappy enough. So post your favorite web browsers and why!

My favorite browser is Steel.
First of all, the overall feel is awesome. It has a fullscreen mode, with a little quarter of a circle on the bottom to bring up simple, easy to use controls. And it is lightning fast, at least two to three times that of the stock browser.

Honestly, I installed Steel and Opera, and didn't find them any faster or better than the stock browser. I did find that Steel's zoom options needed more steps between kinda close and super extra zoom, and that steel was more likely to randomly refresh a page right in the middle of filling out a form.

Steel can't be faster, as it's just a skin for the stock browser, unless I'm mistaken.

Here's hoping for Fennec some time next year.
