Help The camera suddenly sucks?

When I first bought my G1 phone the camera took awesome pictures, but now, maybe 6 months or so later, the pictures it takes are HORRID, even if I am trying to take a picture of an inanimate object the picture is very blurry.

Anyone have any experience with this or ideas? It went from "great for a camera phone" to "not worth using"

just curious but when is the last time you removed the battery cover and cleaned the lense and lense cover?

Never, the phone is barely 6 months old and the 'slow exposure' problems started just a month or two later, actually I think they started after cupcake rolled out.
