The ever illusive WiFi solution... (Samsung Tablet 3 8.0)

Hello everyone. This is my first post with you guys, I hopped on the tablet train recently and am loving it.

I am having one glaringly irritating issue though, that is why I have come to ask of advice from the pro's.

I have seen other posts in my browsing of this wonderful knowledge sphere about this issue but I need a clear walk through...I am a light weight when it comes to techy knowledge...

I cannot get my freaking WiFi to stay connected. PW and info are all good, HELP!

Have you checked your WiFi isn't set to automatically turn off if the connection isn't active for 15 mins? It's in Settings -> WiFi -> Advanced.

Whenever I've had issues with WiFi in the past, I find giving myself a static IP address fixes it a lot of the time.

You might also want to take a look at an app called WiFi Analyser on Play and check to see if the channel you're using isn't congested.
 
When you click on a network to connect to and dialog for entering the key, scroll down and check advanced options, IP settings are there. If already connected long tap on the network and say modify network, and again check advanced options.
