Props to cammykool for the awesome case thread.

It was so awesome that it gave me the idea to start one specifically for gear bags.

I like mine to be as hard wearing and versatile as possible:

When I'm just hauling my Nexus 7 and other gear I rely on my Maxpedition Colossus Versipack.
COLOSSUS VERSIPACK Tactical Nylon Gear Concealed Carry Shoulder Sling Bag - MAXPEDITION HARD-USE GEAR Tactical Nylon Gear for Military, Law Enforcement, Tactical Concealed Carry; Tailored to Perform Tactical

As I'm carrying the 10" tablet occasionally now I'm also looking into the Mongo Versipack.
MONGO VERSIPACK - MAXPEDITION HARD-USE GEAR Tactical Nylon Gear for Military, Law Enforcement, Tactical Concealed Carry; Tailored to Perform Tactical

What do you use, or would like to use for hauling your tablet(s) and gear??

I usually use my Timbuk2 bag:

Like how it has all the pockets for keys, tablets (can fit my Prime in there easily as well), phone, groceries. It's comfy when it's empty but can fit a ton of stuff in them as well.

Saw a messenger bag on The Verge that looked gorgeous....until I found out it's a small fortune to own. An Ernest Alexander bag:

They go for about $300+.

Yowch!
(NICE bag though!)
That does make me feel better about pricing on the Maxpedition stuff! :D

I used to carry Timbuk2 bags, but I broke one too many of their plastic clasps.

For the last several years, I've been carrying a Chrome Mini Metro. It doesn't have a whole lot of features or special pockets - but that wasn't what I was looking for. It's rugged, water resistant, looks great, and it's done a lot of traveling with me. The shoulder strap has just the right amount of padding, too:

Plus, the buckle is solid metal - no way I'm breaking that. At least not unless something breaks me in the process...

Love Chrome bags but couldn't justify the price. Do you ever get that idiot who likes to click the button ("Just to see if it works") while you're wearing it?

I bought three Timbuk2 bags. Two broken retainer clips and one batch of torn out stitching later, the cost for the Chrome bag was worth it, since I have had zero problems.

Frankly, the usability of the bag is nicer, too. The nice shoulder padding, the thin strap that makes it easier to manage, the great buckle design... It's just an all-around better bag.

I haven't had anyone actually lunge for it, but I've had several people point and ask if they can push the button to see if it really works. I assure them that it does, in fact, work - and that I will break any finger that pushes it.

^
Have had zero problems with mine but I'm not terribly rough on it. Have had the same Camelback backpack I use for work for 8 years now and it's still going strong. Been through some tough times, but no problems.

I ride a motorcycle to and from work every day so I needed something compact that would fit in my backpack along with my lunchbox and all the other stuff I carry. I'm also broke so inexpensive was critical. I found this bag on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Shoulder-Sling-7-Tablet-Galaxy-Tab-Kindle-Nook-Google-Nexus-7-Bag-/230840047099?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D1418681833529408570%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26

It's got 4 zippered compartments and 4 pockets. Check the link for pictures. For my needs this is the perfect 7" tablet bag plus it's CHEAP! $21.98 shipped!

I'm somewhat rough on my gear. My Camelbak Mule from about 1997 refuses to die, though. It's been all over the country with me, and has been crashed on while mountain biking, slid down the sides of rocky embankments while hiking, been sat on/thrown/dragged while camping, and even survived flying off the top of my car at 60+ MPH as I went down the highway.

Stupid thing barely has a loose stitch. I kept waiting for it to eat itself so I could get a new model with more pockets to stash things, but now I've resigned myself to having it stuffed into my coffin with me.

Come to think of it, it has a pretty good Nexus-sized pocket in it, too.

I found this small case in a luggage store in a shopping center:
I paid $19.99 for it and if I buy another item for under $20 I would get a 30% discount for the second item!
It hold the N7 or my Playbook with it's case as well as my Galaxy Note + a Note Book, Pen, Stylus and business cards and wallet and car keys.

I've bumped this over to the android accessories section, as, unlike cases, bags aren't generally device specific.
