The "I Got Mine!" and First Impressions Thread

I had to order directly thru Verizon (company policy) No notification yet. VZW's business to business website still shows as "pending"
 
I assume everyone is talking about the note 9??? No notification for me haven't and don't plan to order it
 
I was considering getting myself one, but the hideous color of the S pen has conjoured up some second, third, and forth toughts.
 
It's too bad that so many people are poo-pooing the yellow S Pen with the blue phone, sight unseen. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt until I see it. I can't imagine Samsung offering it without having done focus groups to tweak the color scheme. I'm really not buying it for the colors anyway - but for the capability of the phone.
 
My 9 should be in my hands tomorrow. I ran into a Samsung Rep a few days ago at Best Buy, and he had a Note 9 on him. The pen wasn't too bad, and he showed me some of the functions it can do. Pretty sweet!

Your points are valid Chiefy, if that's what you're looking for. However, I have seen it on display. I personally hate yellow. If I am going to pay top dollar for something, it has to completely appeal to me.

You would think there would be some different colored pens for sale in the near future.
 
I guess the only way to change yellow spen color is to buy additional (other color) pen. Or maybe exchange it with someone who bought other colors and loves yellow spen.
 
Problem is, I see the yellow and lavender S Pens available as an accessory on the Samsung website... but I don't see any other colors available. I'm sure some 3rd party manufacturers will jump on this opportunity, but I don't know if they can get the Bluetooth circuitry right.
 
Tracking my phone, it was in the city next to me 3 hours ago. As of 20 minutes ago, it arrived at the FedEx facility in my city, but it still says scheduled for delivery tomorrow by 4:30. Hoping They'll surprise me and deliver it today! Funny thing is I wasn't even planning on getting this phone, I was gonna skip and wait for next year, but the opportunity came up for me to get it, and now I'm excited as ever! I'm refreshing the dang FedEx tracking page every 2 minutes :D:D

EDIT: 9 minutes after I posted this, I refreshed again and it now says out for delivery today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's here, it's here! FedEx truck has come and gone - sucks , too, because I'm in the middle of mopping... so I have to wait a bit to open it!

EDIT: they are proud of that yellow S Pen, aren't they? LOL



BTW it's a VERY deep blue... gorgeous!

How come the pen for the blue version is yellow, but for the other colours, the pen matches?
