the legality of using IMDB in an app

cp123127

Lurker
I'm thinking of writing an app that will interface with imdb.com to search for movies and use IMDB's data concerning actors in a particular film along with each actor's filmogrophies. In essence, they are providing free movie data which I use in a non-free app. How legal would it be (how mad might IMDB get) if I were to charge for this app?
Should I use wikipedia instead although the data might not be 100% there or completely accurate?

I've seen lots of apps that deeplink into web sites, but for for-pay apps, you might be well advised by taking a good long look at IMDB's terms of use.

In other words, don't ask us -- ask them! :)

Ive seen many apps in the iPhone appstore that are pay apps and use IMDB data, and there has never been any problems - to my knowledge.

This is a app I really want now Ive seen sense and moved to Android.
