Hello fellow Android/Moto X fans!

I'm setting up this thread to get everyone together who recently ordered a Moto X from Moto Maker.

Share your experience with moto maker. You can tell everyone how excruciating the wait is, and show off your custom phone when it finally arrives.

I'm personally checking my email on a regular basis waiting for my cherry red/black/black to ship. Can't wait!
 
Ordered a blue/silver/black/32gb/Verizon one that should be here on Friday.

Can't wait.

I loved the black/silver combo, but decided I wanted something a little more custom than the legions of black phones out there, and also enjoyed the maroon backplate but wondered if I'd get sick of it after a while. Navy blue seemed like a good middle ground of subtle but different.

Yeah, the red and black look really sharp on the moto maker site. We'll see if it looks just as good in person.

Waiting does suck...lol.

That combo looks really nice. How did you get that image? I don't remember them sending me a big picture of my phone :(. Just a small one in the order email.

Have you gotten a shipping email by any chance? Mine is expected to get here by Friday too, and I would think that I'd be getting a shipping confirmation fairly soon.
 
I just took a screenshot of the design page, cropped and uploaded it.

No shipping email yet. Fingers crossed it'll really be here on Friday!
 
Can't wait for mine to arrive. I ordered it Monday and got an email Monday night saying it was being assembled. Haven't heard anything since.

That's an interesting design. Cool! I also got the email saying it was being assembled. I'm guessing most of us will get the shipping confirmation by tomorrow morning. Or at least, I hope!

Since everyone's posting their designs, here's mine. I put a signature on the back with my Google+ handle. (note, my real handle is NOT +Woot :p)

Here's an update on shipping for my Moto X.

After talking to a Moto rep, it turns out that they shipped mine out yesterday (Tuesday), and it was delivered to my apartment manager this morning. Unfortunately, it's too late for me to go pick it up from the manager's office.

I would recommend to those still waiting on a confirmation email to call Motorola, and ask for them to look into your order. It's possible that your Moto X has already shipped, but an email was never sent.
 
On the website it show starting at $99 for a new two year agreement. Is this for the design & phone or just the design?

What if you're already with one carrier, it doesn't include upgrading? I'm trying to understand how it works.

Yeah, well, they're customer support is top notch too. Nevertheless, they really need to get that shipping thing sorted out.

That $99 is for a subsidized Moto X (16GB version, $149 for 32GB) on any of the available carriers, and includes the design.

I believe that's the upgrade price, but you can always go through the checkout process, and see what it comes out to on your carrier.

Its $99 for the phone. Any color changes you make on the website won't add any cost to the phone. If you buy headphones, cases, etc those will cost extra. But any visual things you do the phone is all free. I assume you were asking if its costs $99 just to start the design process of the phone kinda thing. Its crazy to think you can get a 16GB version of this phone in any color you want, shipped to your door in a couple days for 100 bucks.

The 32GB will run you 150 for a new contract. Or you can buy the phone full price, which is like $499 I think.

Yeah, I saw your post, and was like "damn, here I go calling Motorola for the third time this week...". Lol.

Their customer service agents are going to HATE me. :p
 
I finally got my Moto X! Woot! Here's some pics of my black front, Cherry red back, and black accents.

Pretty great looking in person. The pictures give it a more pinkish hue, but in reality it's a brighter red. Phone feels great too, unlike the cheapy plastic of my current Galaxy S3.

What I want to know is, how did you get your phone so fast? I'm dying, here!

Maybe red not only looks fast, it's faster to build as well :D

Haha! Well, I ordered mine on Monday morning, so mine must have been one of the first phones to roll out. When I finally got the tracking information from the Moto rep, it turned out the phone was shipped Tuesday afternoon and got here yesterday.

When did you order yours?
 
I was literally waiting for the site to go live Monday morning, and had my order in pretty quickly.

Moto CS didn't have tracking information yesterday when I did the chat.

Huh, well you should definitely be getting it today or tomorrow. I'd call Moto customer service to see if they have the tracking number.

It seems that the live chat reps do not have access to the same information as the phone ones do. Though I could be wrong, still worth a shot!

If I was to order one soon, this is what I got: black front, crimson back with blue accent, 16gb version. :)
