Music error

Hi there,
I have been experiencing a somewhat strange error on my Xperia Z2.
I have a bunch of music on my PC (mostly mp3), which I have transferred to my android.
At first I had it on the phone itself, which was working fine (Although admittedly it was only for a weeks time). I then got a SD card from a friend and transferred everything there.
Everything was working fine for a couple of weeks, but then some of the bands suddenly started to disappear. I was already not able to view some if this in the music player, so I was using the VLC app for this. Shortly after however, the music broke down completely. When putting on a band or album, the songs start skipping uncontrollable, locking themselves in a look, or playing songs from completely different bands (That also get locked on a loop). For example, when I try to play a black sabbbath album, all the songs switch to 1 alice in chains song. That song however does not play properly and just plays a constant loop of the 1st minute of the song. Some song refuse to play at all, and some start playing, but will suddenly freeze, skip, or start a seeming random loop within a song. I did then also try it in the standard Walkman and the same thing is happening.
I have not tried much as I am fairly new to android. I did clear cache, restart the phone and copied a song from SD to Internal (copied through file commander). However the song still plays a completely different band, even though the band in question is still on SD:
Any ideas as to how to fix this (preferably without deleting everything) ?
