With the co-founder and former CEO of Nest stepping down from the company, the news has spawned a bunch of speculation about what Google is going to do with the company. Many people said they would sell it off like they did with Motorola and Boston Dynamics.
However, this doesn't seem to be the case. The new CEO of Nest, Marwan Fawaz, just sent out a letter to employees that assures them they aren't going anywhere. The Verge also has a source close to an Alphabet executive who also says Nest is "categorically not for sale."
