It was a dark and foggy night......Like a radioactive beast sleeping in an ancient swamp, my Moto X Pure, has risen from the dead and now seeks vengeance against those who counted it out!
UPDATE!
So all in all, after replacing my charger port, ($40), ordering a new battery, ($40) and Paying to have it properly replaced, ($50, for a total of $130), AND just getting the NEWgat, 7.0 update, (See what I did there?) this phone is working better than when I first got it. It's faster, the battery is great, and it just seems....well, revived.
I went to a few forums and cussed out a few people, sent emails to both Lior Ron, and Dennis Woodside asking what the behind the scenes story was, (Neither work for Motorola any longer, Ron is at Uber, and Woodside has moved on to Dropbox)
Along the way, I discovered a new generation of cheap high-spec phones like the Maze Alpha X, that I think will make a dent in days to come, learned a ton of new information about chip design, began religiously using https://versus.com/en , and got a crash course in what makes a great Smartphone camera, as well as what goes through the minds of designers, (those who revealed it at least) in their approach to smartphones.
