The same contact appear online in one phone and not online in another

i have two phones, the personal and the one for my job, both have the same whatsapp version.

One contact in specific, appears online in my second phone, and not online in the main phone, why is that?

Perhaps that person has two phones also?

I have received messages, lets say at 1pm and the last seen for that contact is 8am (WA didn't updated his last seen on my main phone) yet on my secondary phone he will be online (your situation). Another weird situation is that I will appear online at 3pm but my phone has been with the screen off since noon but this can be also due to WA web or WA desktop, which I use both on my computer (one for each phone), and when you close your browser or app, it takes time to update the online status.

Also, I don't think WA updates the info instantly for every user.
