The screen in direct sunlight?

then i must have had a defective screen on mine. cause i have had both. and thiers no doubt my GS2 is better than my x-phonton. even the viewing angles are better. and i have no problems veiwing my GS2 even with my sun glasses on.
This is the correct answer. I own neither device (if the ET4G fixes the LOS issue prior to nexus prime I will go with the ET4G) but I found stores that would let me take both phones outside (as well as the evo3d). I wsa shocked that the photon showed virtually no fading in bright light (the evo3d completely washes out). The ET4G was in the middle - quite readable but definitely suffering.

While there are some complaints about the pentile design of the photon display; it does a very good job in bright light.
[My preference for the et4g over photon is largely due to formactor and I cannot stand motoblur/locked boot loaders (i know the boot loader key has been leaked.)]
