Well I dont know if there is thread but lets say this thread is dedicated to Good games which never received any publicity or was a failure due to some reasons or another.You may have picked this game in a sale or clearance .Or downladed on net as abandonware/freeware.Or some magzine gave it away as freeware.

Metal Fatigue
A little known Real Time strategy of year 2000.
A futuristic RTS which was every scific geeks dream.
Build a robot army to conquer the planet.
30 level single player campaign and 30 multiplayer maps were present
It featured three layered combat (air,ground underground),3D isometric view ,4-part robo customization,
Aerial and underground combat,railguns and what not !!
The AI was also good .
Reason of failure:
Too advanced for year 2000
Bad marketing
company was sold after 15 days of release .The new owners werent interested in it.
Bugs were never fixed .
It was not starcraft .
By 2004 it was marked as abandonware .
If you get a copy in sale or something ,be sure to pick .Though it doesnt work perfectly on vista/7
