The update makes no difference as far as I can tell.I tried rooting before and after with no success.And I tried more than a few.I'm really considering going back to my lg leon, it doesn't have as much storage,memory or screen size, but still plays games that lag like crazy on the k10. And doesn't burn through a full charge nearly as fast.I'm really disappointed with this lg. I thought I was upgrading from the Leon,which I was pretty impressed with after upgrading from a Samsung. I am going to keep trying until it roots or bricks.If anybody can help I would really welcome it.

Given the specs of those two models, you won't feel any difference because hardware wise, the MS428 doesn't differ much from the previous phone (MS345), say you got a slightly bigger battery.

The MS550 should make you feel better with its octa-core CPU and 2Gb of RAM.
