Today's notifications included one to AIM (AOL's internet messenger). Apparently it is all redesigned and IMHO sucks.
When I signed in I no longer had a little icon in my notification area. So this should make it harder to remember when you are signed in there and when you are not.
But more puzzling is that I don't think it shows you who among your chat buddies and Facebook friends is signed in and therefore available to chat.
I've only had this new version for about 40 minutes so I'm probably judging it too soon but it sure looks like a step back to me.
