I've been a Verizon customer forever and have a choice between this device or the S2 . Spec by spec the S2 seems to have a slight edge. But I'm coming from the once dreaded evil droid bionic, so I'm used to 4glte and I use rediculous amounts of data a month.

I can get them both for $200, but I have to decide very very soon. Long story short customer service has been battling for my buisness and when they won they royally pissed me off, losing track of my order and placing me on hold for an hour every time I call. I just bugged out on a supervisor who's calling me back within the hour and I have to have a decision by then..

I know androids and I hate motorola after the bionic, but always loved the more user friendly HTCs like my old incredible. Never had a samsung though..

I don't yet have an opinion on the S2, having come from Virgin Mobile with an LG Optimus V to the Samsung Galaxy Victory on Ting. I gave up unlimited data to get lower overall usage pricing, better customer service and better geographical coverage.

I like my Galaxy Victory.

I'm still leaning towards the SII. And I have a lot more time to decide now too.

Never order a phone through their customer service by calling. I did it to haggle the price, which saved me 50 dollars however the idiots charged my card for the phone and gave me an incorrect order number. And come to find out the order was never placed.

I spent alll day calling, spoke with 3 supervisors (supposedly) in tech support and after promising to call me back after looking more heavily into the issue I ended up having to call back and re explain the situation 3 times because these supervisors never called back.

Finally I spoke with a competent rep who escalated the issue to headquarters last night. I got her name and a confirmation number, saved all the call times and if I do not hear from them in the next 60 hours I'm reporting them to the better buisness bureau.

And when I do hear from them I've already made it clear they're refunding a substantial amount of money for the massive inconvenience. I'm pretty sure they will at this point but if not they're refunding my money and getting reported and I'm back to verizon. They already offered me the note 2 for free if I take over the old phone line.

I had the SII, horrible reception with that phone! Inside a building (even a wood house) I'd be lucky to have 1 bar. Dropped calls all the time. I could be 10' away from my wifi router, and it would still have a weak wifi signal. I fooled with it for a month, and then returned in within the 30 day period. I thought maybe I'd just got a dud, but then I googled "poor reception with S2" and "samsung S2 problems" and I discovered that LOTS of people are/were having the same problems.

It has a great screen, and a great camera, but the build quality felt "platicky" to me. It also rebooted itself 3-4 times per day...I'm glad I got rid of it......

Do you have the victory though? Because those are my two best options according to what vmobile says my unlimited data plan can use/ what they can provide.

I'm just really hesitant because the victory is their first 4GLTE phone. And I'm holding Verizon's first 4GLTE "flagship" phone right now, and they literally screwed bionic users by releasing the razor then to add to the issue the device had a billion bugs and data connectivity problems for months. And in my area Verizon is #1 as far as quality goes, no contest.

The 3g here for my provider is disgusting. I have foxfi/pdanet+ (a mobile hotspot that just isn't bought through the provider and only cost like 7 dollars as a one time charge) and it can't even power one device.

I like big screens and vivid colors, but most importantly I need the fastest and most reliable device I can get with my current unlimited data plan. I can use my droid bionic for gaming and watching movies and w.e.
