the voice recorder will not working on smasung ace

I tryed to use the voice recorder on my Samsung ace and it will not record., even though I was hold the record button. Do I have to download anything or what?

It is possible that this is blocked by your carrier. I know Verizon blocked this function in the latest Samsung upgrades for the S3. You can root your phone to get around this.

However, is this the stock Samsung voice recorder or a third party app? There could be a compatibility issue if it is a third party app.

Also, has it ever worked? Have you updated recently?
