The Weather Channel Loves Android!

So, I was watching the weather channel last night around 9pm pacific time.
The 2 weather people were up talking about the weather.

On the bottom of the screen a message comes up that says:
"Get Ready To Scan". I'm like wtf does that mean?

About a minute later, a QR code comes up on the screen , with a message under it that says, "Android users, scan now".

Presumably that was the code for their android app.

Very cool stuff. I thought that was awesome.

I just wish their app had radar maps!

It does have maps. When you click into a location, press the menu button , and there's a maps button in there. I use the radar thing all the time. They have all the layers to turn on and off too, along with the time lapsed animation.
