Theme caused malfunction with Note8

I installed a theme from Samsung Themes. It was called Optical Blue and it was animated. Now, the edge lighting randomly flashes red. I have changed themes several times and rebooted as well.

I don't even like the edge lighting. I thought I had it disabled.

I have Developer Options enabled. All animations are turned off.

Note8 running 8.0.

What's next for me to attempt as a fix?

Could be the theme caused some malfunction of the firmware. Possibly it's a bug? Maybe need to factory reset it?

Long shot but can you boot into recovery and clear the cache from there?
I assume you've uninstalled the app normally with clearing the cache and data first.
