Root theme for vel1.2 really big

OK i took the "stock" vewl1.2 and made a bunch of changes.
some with kitchen, some with paint .net etc.
now my zip is 3.28mb and my uot zip file is 3.972 mb.

a)what are the implications of the large file
b) is this a big deal
c)how can I make it smaller if it matters.

found a problem I hade 2 copies of the drawable-hdpi folder. one was dropped in a sub folder.

I also used png gauntlet to compress the pngs and save a bit of space as well

but still anyone know the answers to my questions

if I can figure out how to do it.
the changes are small.
examples--

changed the status bar indicators to gingerbread style in a matching blue
changed the padlock on the slide to unlock screen to something bigger
changed the font to segoe not sure this worked right
changed the battery icon to a 4 colory honey comb instraf of 2 (now I have red and yello)
changed the progress bar from green to blue
changes swirly (processing) to blue gingerbread style
changed the checkboxes from dots to check marks.

never mind about the size i was using win 7 native compression instead of z7ip. now its down to 2a nd change
