Theophilus Eugene "Bull" Connor

Does he have a statue in Alabama?
He didn't own slaves but he tried to keep Blacks in their place.
As much as I hate that bigoted bastard he showed the world how bad "White Surpremacy" and enforced "Segregation" can be.

Yes racism is a very scary thing but haven't the blacks had freedom in the USA for like 100's and 100's of years or something like that?

Yes racism is extremely bad.

People should love one another and respect each other and give care not hatred.

Other wise you will just end up wrecked / destroyed / ruined like sa because the blacks have more problems than anybody else (attitude problems) in the world and never get over the past and focus on being positive and productive and focused.

The blacks don't want to get over the past here in sa they just want to steal everything and kill all the whites here so I hope the states isn't going this way because if they are they are doomed.

People must get over the past and focus on the future or else all is lost.

You can't change the past but you can change the present and the future but in only a positive manner.

If people keep hating people that did something bad to me or somebody many years and years ago nobody would never focus on the future and how bright it can be.

Focus on the future not the past!!!!!

Formally slavery was abolished in the USA just over 150 years ago. However, segregated schools, segregated sections on busses, laws designed to deny voting rights to blacks (and usually poor whites too), etc persisted in some parts of the USA for another century or so after that. And then there's a difference between laws being passed and things changing on the ground.

Sure, it's not been as bad as SA has been within living memory, but it's not such a distant past either. In fact the assasination of Martin Luther King was 50 years ago yesterday.

So I agree, don't nurse the grievances of history. But remember the lessons.
