Do you have your own quick fixes on your gadgets? Do you think that ducktape solves everything? Then show them here.

Here's mine. This is one of my phones, and the battery fell apart after being accidentally dropped. I checked the local stores, and they don't have the battery for it, since most of the majority of phones here is Nokia (this is an SE), this is my solution.

The lens cover also fell apart and so...

My laptop gets hot so....

Small PC fan taped to the desk and DVD drive left open brings it down 10 degrees Celcius. I find that laptop coolers with this particular Compaq just don't work.

If you really have a need to cool down your laptop, you probably would be doing something requiring a mouse... Isn't the fan in the way?

I do Folding At Home and uTorrent at night. Processor is at full capacity while I sleep. Get's up to 85C without fan...75 with. I use the built in track pad as you may be able to tell by the ware mark on it... I should get a mouse though shouldn't I? WTF have I been thinking? lol.

Yes. My laptop is severely messed up but with some tape and a dream, I can proudly state "there, I fixed it". maybe not proudly, but I can state it.
