Help They call this 4G?

My phone's download performance has been sluggish, so I just ran speedtest.net on my Droid Razr, while it said I was connected to 4G. My downloads ranged from 567 kbps to 723 kbps! The test utilized two different sites in different runs of the test, so it isn't just one site being bad.

Any idea what could possibly be wrong?

Reboot and try again. I've got stupid results like this before that made no sense and a reboot fixed it for me. I almost always get 15-20 meg download and 4-6 meg upload with speedtest.net

Also vzw could be working on some towers in your area, like they were 3-4 days ago in my area. After 4 or 5 slow results from speed test app i called customer service they told me not to worry its just the company doing diagnostics in the area. Then about 3 hours later everything went back to normal. My dowload speeds are constant at 40,000kbps, upload 12,000+kbps.

Geez I get 1.9Mbps on 3G regularly

I average 20mbs down and occasionally get up to 45mbs down.

Wow thats bad. I'm seeing 3-4 Mb down and 1 up on average.. and I'm on ATT's "special as in needs a crash helmet" "4g" that's really just an overworked 3g...
