I owned a t-mobile g1 a couple of years back and I loved it. I also have an ipod touch 4g. Basicly my phone broke :'( I ended up getting a nokia c5 which was really basic but the battery life was amazing! My contract was up and I had the chance to get a new shiny phone. I chose the galaxy s2, I am over the moon with it, every day I find somthing new to do.

I was so used to using my ipod, it now feels like the shackles have been removed. I can not fault the ipod as I still believe it is an incredible piece of tech. But the freedom that a droid has like tethering, streaming the match and full customisation is almost too good to be true. Apple have instructed its customers into believing the way the do it is the best, where as a droid says if you think you can improve this go ahead we built this for you.

I am looking into rooting my phone, I am just weighing up the pro's and con's. I dont know if I need to or what the point is? Anyone who wishes to give me a list of pro's and con's would be a great help.

Cheers! David.
