Only had my Nexus 7 for a few weeks (purchased from Tesco UK) but it doesn't seem right.
I've used it quite a bit but it's been protected in a case since day 1 and has never been dropped or abused.
I was using it last night, just in a moment of boredness, playing a game (Ski Safari)
I noticed whilst playing that it was getting quite warm, so removed it from the case and carried on. Suddenly the screen went yellow and green then turned off. It wouldn't turn back on. I plugged it in to charge and it would switch on but said that the battery level was 0%. I figured it had run out of battery so switched it off and left it to charge overnight.
When I came to it this morning after about 10 hours of charging it was only up to 23%. I left it switched on and charging, but then realised that the screen was never going off - which it usually does when charging.
Out of curiosity I tried the multitouch test program and when I'm not touching it says it's registering 10 touches. As I touch once it changes to 1.
It all functions correctly otherwise, and when I just switched it on it asked me to update to the latest version (to include landscape on desktop), which updated fine, but still no change.
I had noticed for the last few days that battery life had been worse than normal, ie I'd charged it overnight one night, then left it on standby (not fully shut off) for the next day, when I came to use it the day after it was completely dead.
Any advice on what I should do?
