Thinking about leaving Iphone when Evo arrives

Please no hating I come in peace. I'm an Apple fanboy but I'm seriously thinking of saying adios to the iPhone once the Evo arrives. Anyone that has used both platforms can you tell me which you like better and why? Im just sick of hacking the crap out my phone to get it to work like every other smartphone out of the box. The Evo looks sweet, plus I can use it as a mobile hotspot to power my Ipad without forking over another $30 to AT&T and paying twice for the same thing.

I had the 3GS and switched to the Hero. The Hero is capable of a lot more than the 3GS, but with os 1.5 it is definitely not as slick. I have played with os 2.1 on the incredible, the evo's little brother and it is faster than the current os on the iPhone. I think the evo will be a step up from the current and upcoming iPhone.

By the way I am typing this on my iPad tethered to my hero.

I'm doing the same. I played with my brother's Motorola Droid and really liked Android. You won't be as lost (at least changing settings) as you probably think. Android is WAY more flexible. It lets you customize way more than Apple ever will.

The features and specs of the phone blow the iPhone out of the water. The Sense UI is really great too. Combine that with Sprints better pricing, and it's a no brainer. Join us.
