Maybe some people would like to talk about that specific app...

Buy yes... Google making an app called Google does leave room for a lot of confusion...


Still, at least they didn't call it The Google

Actually not everybody using Android uses Google. Some do not by choice (e.g. Lineage users who choose not to flash gapps), some because the choice is made for them (e.g. most Chinese Android users).

As it happen the "Google" app is one of the apps I've disabled on my phone: it does nothing that I need, and some things I don't want, so I got rid of it.
