Thoughts on SD Cards

Hey all!

After reading a lot in the eris forum about the SD Card debate, I've decided to drop the cash on a 32GB card. However, since I haven't made the purchase yet, I was wondering what some of you thought of the brands. There is a class 2 sandisk out there -- a brand I know very well, but its only a class two. Then there are two brands I have never heard of: 3C and Topram. Has anybody had any experience with these brands? If so, what do you think of them? The cards are cheaper and faster (in theory) than the sandisk, but if it's a bad brand, then I don't think it'll be worth it.

I would go with the Sandisk. A bit pricier, and (technically) slower, but its a trusted name, and you get a good warranty so if it ever fails, your covered as far as the card itself goes. As for the speed, you will probably honestly never notice. Especially since the Eris does not have a very robust processor to say the least.

However, one thing you should take note of. The technology for 32 GB microSD cards came out only a few months ago. I think its a bit suspicious that other companies are claiming the same capacity at higher speeds.

Thanks for the opinion! I think thats probably what I'll do. It isn't that much pricier, but I didn't consider the warranty. Thats a deal maker for me there.

And thats a very good point as well. I didn't think about that before. I'm definitely going with the sandisk. Thanks for your help!
