Thunderbolt contact issues

Hello, I have a htc thunderbolt from Verizon. I love my phone and don't normaly have much in the way of complaints about it. But...recently I lost all of my contacts that were stored on my phone for what seams to me to be for no reason at all. I have three batteries for it that I periodically switch out because of the short battery life and the last time I powered down the phone switched outw the battery and powered it back up my contacts were missing. I still had my gmail and Facebook contacts. 1)Does anyone have any ideas what happened to my contacts? 2)How I can retrieve those contacts? 3)What can I do to prevent this in the future?

Any help and ideas are appritiated!
Thanks

Hello and welcome.. i don't know what caused your problem. To prevent this in the future, next time save your contacts on the sim not on mobile. :)

Hi,

Nice to have you here with us. There might be two ways of retrieving your contacts.

1. Open people/contacts tap menu then import/export - choose import from sd card. If your sync was working ok - you should have all your contacts back on your phone.

2. Log onto your Google account and go into contacts - Your contacts should be stored there.

Also, you can check-in with fellow users of your device to see if they have any other tips on doing this..

Thanks for joining the community. :)
