Time to upgrade... can't decide.

Hey everyone,
I have had the iPhone 4S since around last June, which was my first smartphone. Since I got it off contract off of eBay and use it on Straight Talk, I'm deciding to upgrade. That's what I like about Straight Talk; it's contract free and it's a deal.

Anyways, I'm conflicted with all of the great android smartphones out now. I have the Nexus 7, and I love it. iOS is just so bland, while Android has that flare to it that I absolutely love.

The phones that I've had my eyes on are: the Nexus 4, Oppo Find 5, HTC One, and the Samsung Galaxy S4 (International Version).

With so many different features and specs, you really have to think about what you want in the long run because there are so many choices now.

I got my iPhone for different reasons at the time: Siri, iMessage (many of my friends have an iPhone, so this was great), FaceTime, the camera, and because I had been using an iPod touch since the second generation. Now, I wanna go try Android; the Kindle Fire & Nexus 7 really changed my mind.. c;

Can anyone help me decide what phone I should get? Thanks!

depends on what you want. I would suggest the S4 if you want expandable memory and removable batteries. While the HTC One if you want that

If you're on a budget, then the Nexus 4.
If you want a "solid" build phone, awesome speakers, Sense 5 UI, then get the One.
If you want expandable memory, removable battery, Touchwiz UI and the tons of the features in Touchwiz, then get the S4.

If you want the best performance and nice large screen go with the Galaxy S4, faster CPU and GPU plus DDR3 memory so it's quicker at loading app and games.

It's also a very "solid" phone, Gorilla Glass 3 and the polycarbonate back cover is more durable and also you can replace it. If the back of the HTC One is damaged you have to replace the phone if you want it fixed, basically your screwed.

What are your storage requirements? The Nexus has 16GB (less available to the user) and no expansion, the One has 32 or 64 (again, not all available) but no expansion, while the S4 has 16 but less of that available than the N4, but does have sd expansion (ATT in US have the 32GB version, not sure who else if anyone). Remember that sd is useful for media, can't be used for apps.

If storage doesn't settle it, the Nexus will have the best software support (updates straight from Google) and is cheapest if you buy off contract. All 3 should be powerful enough for most purposes, though the One and S4 are more powerful than the Nexus.

Finally, I would certainly handle the devices before spending money on one. If more than one meets your requirements, choose the one you like best.

I can't say much about the Oppo - never seen one myself.
