Timeout Screen switching off the phone

My samsung GT-S7562 is switching off or getting black screen each time timeout occurs. I changed the timeout to 30 minutes, but it is taking up the battery power. After that also, if whenever timeout happens, the phone is getting off. This is not happening when phone is on charger.

It's normal for the screen to go black at timeout. If it doesn't happen on charger, it's because you have "Stay awake" option enabled, which only dims the screen at timeout, not extinguish it.
