If you've managed to install something on your Illusion/Proclaim which has become problematic, and you wish to uninstall it but can't...
To enter SAFE MODE: (Think Windows Safe Mode)
1. With your phone off, press and hold the power key to turn the phone on.
2. When the provider's logo screen pops up, press and hold the Menu button to the left of the home button on the touch-sensitive keys. You will get a vibration letting you know it worked, and soon at the bottom left corner of your screen you will see "Safe Mode" letting you know it did in fact work.
3. While in safe mode, uninstall the problem application.
To exit SAFE MODE:
1. Hold the power button, and click Power Off Phone.
2. Reboot your phone normally.
