TIP (Thrash In Peace) Jeff Hanneman

After having suffering a nearly fatal spider bite and necrotizing fasciitis Jeff Hanneman died of liver failure this morning.

SLAYER has been a huge part of my life for many many years. And many more to come.

I've seen many bands in person but SLAYER was the first that had me awestruck when I realized it was them on stage. I just stood and starred unable to move or think. I guess some might call it a religious experience.

This is a video I made years ago for a slayer video contest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHWH5yq1080&feature=youtube_gdata_player (do not watch if you're easily offended by how others raise their children)

I first saw Slayer live in 1990 and I still have the T-shirt today. One of my favourite bands of all time.

Thrash in Peace, Jeff.

Sad day.

I'm a huge Slayer fan, they're my all-time favorite band. I've seen them live numerous times over the years. Still remember jamming on the original vinyl albums with my friends as a teenager. It was really sad to hear this news today.
