Tired of being redirected to another website and having to close your Chrome browser to get out?

I've never actually suffered a redirect. Whether that's because I usually have ad-blocking on, don't encounter the sites that have this stuff, or because I don't use Chrome, I don't know.

Have had redirect problem for about a week and went through the normal process of clearing browse data and cache a few times with no results. Played around with chrome settings yesterday and disabled Java script, rebooted and tried a few sites, no redirect. Re-enabled Java script and rebooted. So far, no redirects.
Not sure if what I did actually somehow blocked them but bookmarking this thread just in case.

When I disabled Javascript I couldn't use the Phandroid menus. I looked for another answer, found this 3 month old tip and have been happy ever since.

I'm trying it ony Samsung Galaxy Note 3 now.

I watched about those little things at the bottom in that other thread but it's better than those redirect that force me to close a tab.

Anybody get Chrome v64 yet?

I have been a faithful Firefox user for years and haven't had a redirect since. Firefox has so many add-on developers to block stuff like that it just hasn't been an issue. Never tried Chrome mostly because Google gets crammed down my throat in so many ways as it is I just don't like anything with a flavor of Big Brother

I don't use Chrome, but any browser that doesn't have a back button annoys me. Some sites just keep redirecting the back command to themselves, and it isn't just ads. It's attitude. To heck with them.

The not allowing you to leave is common to FX, Pale Moon SW Iron on Windows so it isn't just Android. Iron is a Chrome Clone.
