Tired of Warranty Replacements

I got the Droid X the first day it came out. First one died last month (was a very good phone) due to a software issue. It just went into a continual reboot cycle.

Got my 2nd DX and its buttons were loose and the volume button up was super stiff with no tactile feedback.

Now I am on my 3rd DX and it is always so laggy and the buttons are even worse now. The volume rocker doesn't feel right.

I don't want to get another replacement for the DX as I am sick of getting defective ones. Is there anyway I can get a different model do you think?

What does VZW consider equivalent to the DX?

Yeah, VZW is only going to give you the DX if you want to change phones you will need to purchase a new one. You are past your 30 day limit to say you are not satisfied with the phone

Keep trying. I went through a few x's and then a droid 2. I was finally given a fascinate. In addition I was given an early upgrade.

Normally after your 3rd replacment they will work with you on getting a comparable model phone. Depends on the rep you get...

That policy went away last April due to far too many people misusing it.

i've gotten two dx replacements in the last two weeks and both have had issues worse then my original. The DX2 comes out soon so I'm planning on telling vzw that if they can't send me a quality replacement, i want a DX2

It all depend who you talk to and how many bad replacement phone you get. I was going through the something last year with my Droid and ended up getting the Samsung Fascinate cause I was given a choice to pick a new phone.
