Help Titanium Backup Data Questions

I have TB Pro 7.2.2 running on a Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 SM-P900 currently running KK 4.4.2.

I've come to realize that TB and I have different ideas on what constitutes modified data. When I schedule a task to "Redo backups for modified data" TB rarely backs up anything. I know that several apps that I use every day modify files in there respective "/data/data/com.something.xyz/shared_prefs/" subdirectory. These files are not being backed up. Can someone explain why they aren't. What constitutes "data" for TB, better still what does TB look at to determine what is "modified data"?

I've written several messages to the developer seeking answers to these questions but it has been more than two weeks so I don't think they are going to respond to me.

If anyone can set me on the right path I would greatly appreciate it.

I can't offer any assistance, but as with your Firefox/forum issues thread, I hope I can offer you some solace in the fact hat you are not alone.

I essentially have 4 schedules in TB. Full backups run on Mondays & Thursdays and modified data backups on Tuesday & Saturdays. The last time the modified data backups actually ran were the 7th April I should really cancel them I suppose).

Actually I do appreciate your feedback. Just knowing that others might have the same issue means that I can look to a problem with the app rather my particular setup.

I wonder now if TB has always worked like this or if it is a recent development? For the time being I just redo ALL the backups every night and keep 10 days worth on my external SD card and in the cloud.
