Tmobile cant give me an answer

I have had my phone going on two years with same number. Twice within the past two months I get a text message that leads into a full blown conversation between persons.Usually when your texted a name of the person shows up sending text Iam getting phone number only in text box.
It appears to be kids because the first person sends message the game is on tonite are you going .I get at least four other differant phone number responses and one of them says let me ask my dad.
So whats going on ? I have never tried to get in on conversation but would like to know whats going on and is there an app to block this activity.
I have tried a few but these messages dont show up in a log to block

My ex-cop-sense is bristling. See if your local department has a computer crime section, or a kiddie drug section, and if they'd be interested in what may be kids arranging "drug bowls". (Everyone brings pills, throws them into a bowl, and you just reach in, take a pill and swallow. Take the wrong combination and meet your ancestors.)

As far as the technical answer, most likely someone got your number by some mistake and added it to their "party group". If I were you I wouldn't want to block the calls, I'd want to block the drug parties. Your local hospital emergency room will probably thank you too. One of the most heartbreaking things in the world is a dead kid who didn't have to die.
