TMobile forcing change in data for Android

rrolff

Newbie
So I was looking at the Android 3G to replace my iPhone - but they said I had to change my "Windows" (originally I had a Blackjack II Win phone) plan. It goes from $20 to $30.

Is this a lock? I'm sure I could get the 3G working without effort (like I did the BlackjackII and iPhone).

Anyone else getting this weird push back?

I walked out on principle - we run $300/mo in our home - and this finally has me looking elsewhere...

The unlimited data and/or 400 texts for $25 has been discontinued. As far as I can tell any new plan will require the $30 data plus a text plan.

SawltyDawg is gonna hate this lmao...

Sprint everything data...

129.99 first two lines

19.99 every line after...

So $210/mo for the max five lines...

You'd get 1500 shared minutes...

Free mobile to mobile any network(which basically means you have 1500 minutes to call landlines, during non peak hours)

Free nights and weekeneds starting at 7pm.

Unlimited data, sprint nav, texts, mms, anything else you would want on your phone..

Better coverage.

Better phones.

What's not to lose?

Tapatalk. Samsung Moment. Yep.

I am not sure why but t-mo has a RIM data, Android Data, and Widows Data plan. I don't know why it is set up that way, but that how it is. I know when i switched from RIM to Android it was going to be more, but that was because they had changed all their data plans. A friend of mine grandfathered me into the old Android data plan. $25 unlimited data + 400 text. Now the data and text are separate.

ScuroRaven,
how does grandfathered an old plan works?
Will someone who had an old plan be able to clone his plan and transfer it to me? If so, I will be able to ask my buddy to do that for me.

Any more detail would be appreciated.

thank you.

Nope to all. It's $25 for Everything More Plus plan and $30 for Everything More plan (contract vs non-contract rate)

Just look at the plans on their website
Family plans

Then look at the details to see how much it costs to add an extra line depending on the type of plan you choose.

It seems they have two types of Data plans now...one that are not for smartphones which is cheaper and ones that are for smartphones. The price change is probably due to a difference in the type of plan you are getting. That is a guess though.

I doubt you could do it that way. Thats not really called grandfathering. lol

Yes, if you change from one platform the another you will move to the new rate. I went through that when I switched to Android from Blackberry.
