So here is my deal. I am currently on VZ with an unlimited data plan and a Gnex that is dying on me. Currently the back will not stay on the phone good which is ok because it needs the battery pulled several times a day or it will keep the screen on all day till the phone dies. It also seems to not want to charge at times so I have to baby it just to get through the day.
Currently my contract with VZ ends on 12-15 but I don't know if I can make it that long with this phone acting the way it is. I do need to be able to be contacted on my phone for work after office hours.
Like most people, I have concerns about coverage but I really like their policies. I don't think its going to be much cheaper for me than Verizon because of corporate discounts from that I will be giving up. I would also be giving up my unlimited data on VZ.
So I have considered just picking up a new phone from tmobile to at least have a phone until my contract is up and test coverage. I am not sure how much of a bath I would take on a phone like that if it doesn't work out. (IE it needs to work at my work desk) I was hoping for a nexus 5 and I am not sure when Google is going to put those out.
I could go into VZ today and use my upgrade, lose my unlimited data and have a phone (LG G2?) that actually works for now but 22 months from now I will not be able to do what I have the option to do now.
So if you were in my shoes, what would you do?
