Tmobile prepaid sim cards

If I order a couple Tmobile sim cards when they run them for $ .99 how long do I have to activate them before they "expire" I guess you could say or IS there a time frame involved. Do they have to be activated right away or do you have some time before you have to activate or lose them?

I did some searching and couldn't find if they expire.

My carrier, Ting, is an MVNO using T-Mobile and their current batch of SIM cards expire in November 2017 so it's possible T-Mobile prepaid SIM cards also expire at some point:

They have an activate by date on the credit-card size plastic the sim is on. They usually have a few years on them.
I haven't owned any that long, to see if that is a solid cut-off date or not

I bought some a few weeks ago and they have Jan. and Aug. 2018 expry. dates.
