Root [TMobile] rooted yet not rooted?

This weekend I rooted my s5 using Odin and flashing the cf auto root. Seemed like it worked. Then I tried flashing philz touch recovery and it would boot to a black screen and give me a whole list of errors for things like media storage, blue tooth etc. I pulled the battery and rebooted into recovery from where I did a data wipe/ factory reset. Everything now is fine and works. Root checker confirms root as well as t-mobile diagnostic app. I definitely have root. Now my question is, I have tried 3 different apps such as root app delete and 2 others like it. One app says unable to delete apps and press 1 to force delete. Other 2 apps say Uninstall successful but the apps are still in my phone. Things I'm trying to get rid of is stuff like drop box and other stuff I don't use. Ideas? Oh! Also I'm looking for a woking recovery. I'm on dob1 baseband and 5.0 lollipop. Thanks
